dr hab. Katarzyna Klessa

Research project manager, linguist, and ScrumMaster, replacing for Barbara Konat in the period 06.2018-02.2019. She is in charge of leading the team using the Scrum methodology in the spirit of transparency, inspection, and adaptation.

Katarzyna specializes in the field of empirical, corpus-based linguistics, with a focus on experimental phonetics, speech annotation mining, investigation of linguistic and paralinguistic features in human communication, including the expression of emotion.

Assistant professor in the Department of Multimodal Communication, at the Institute of Applied Linguistics, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She received a scholarship from the Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding young scientists (2011-2014) as well as the scholarship from The Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University for scientific achievements (2017). The co-author of above 60 scientific publications. She initiated the design and development of Annotation Pro, a tool dedicated to multilayer speech annotation.

Her favourite ways of spending free time are bicycle travels and dance.
